Vedant

Founder & Editor — BecomeACitizen.ca

Based in Canada

Vedant is a software developer and the founder of BecomeACitizen.ca. He built the platform in 2024 after helping his parents study for the Canadian citizenship test and finding that every available resource was either outdated, unreliable, or buried under ads. He wanted something better — and decided to build it himself.

With a background in full-stack web development and a deep interest in immigration policy, Vedant spent several months writing and verifying over 1,200 practice questions against the official Discover Canada guide published by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Every question on the platform is fact-checked against current government policy before it goes live.

As editor, Vedant reviews all blog content published on BecomeACitizen.ca to ensure accuracy. Posts covering IRCC policy changes, Express Entry draws, and citizenship eligibility rules are cross-referenced against official government announcements and canada.ca before publishing.

His goal is straightforward: make citizenship test preparation free, accurate, and genuinely effective for every permanent resident working toward Canadian citizenship — regardless of their background or budget.

Editorial Approach

All content published under Vedant's name follows a consistent editorial standard:

  • Primary source: Discover Canada — the official IRCC citizenship study guide
  • IRCC news releases and canada.ca for policy updates
  • Cross-referenced against current IRCC processing time data
  • Human review before every publish — no auto-generated posts
